Toothbrushes
The Nimbus toothbrush was designed with long tapered bristles that allow you to clean beneath the gum line, in the pockets where microorganisms hide.
History
A variety of oral hygiene tools have been used throughout history, which included sticks, tree twigs, bird feathers, animal bones and porcupine quills. A person would chew on one end of a twig until it somewhat resembled the bristles of a toothbrush, and then would use it to scrub their teeth.
in 1857, the first prototype for a toothbrush was designed by H. N. Wadsworth in the United States. The mass production of toothbrushes in America began in 1885. Around World War II, the concept of brushing teeth really caught on in the U.S. In fact, it was a requirement that American soldiers clean their teeth on a daily basis. When the war was over, they brought this practice home with them.
Definition of a Toothbrush
The toothbrush is dental tool consisting of a small brush on the end of a handle used to scrub off the bio-film that forms on teeth. Toothbrushes are available with a variety of textures of bristles, and come in different sizes.

Most dentists recommend using a soft toothbrush labeled “soft”, to protect the tooth and gums surfaces. Toothbrushes are usually made from synthetic fibers. Toothbrushes made of natural bristles are also available.
Electric toothbrushes
The first electric toothbrush was introduced in 1959. Electric toothbrushes are thought to be helpful for people who lack the dexterity to clean effectively with a manual toothbrush. My favorite is the Oral B Sonic complete.

In Conclusion
Although brushing cannot reach inside pits and fissures on chewing surfaces where over 80% of cavities occur, brushing is an essential component of an effective oral health care practice.
